Put your logo or art on your kit in two colors. Upload it, place it, see it in 3D, and download a free printable STL.
What makes for a printable logo?
Prints great
- Bold, simple shapes. Lines about 0.6 mm (0.02") or thicker stay crisp. Thinner than about 0.4 mm (0.016") is too fine for a 0.4 mm nozzle.
- One solid shape on a plain background. High contrast converts best, and a transparent background helps.
- SVG or PDF, or a large, crisp PNG.
Trouble spots
- Very thin lines, tiny text under about 4 mm (0.16") tall, and fine detail can disappear.
- Gaps under about 0.35 mm (0.014") can close up. Tiny enclosed spots and little specks may fill in or get dropped.
- Gradients, shading, and photos don't translate. The cut is one color: all or nothing.

How to multi-color print
Your logo or art is cut 0.5 mm (0.020") into the face that prints on the build plate. To get two colors, print the first few layers in one color, pause, swap filament, and let it finish in the second color. It's easy, and most slicers have it built in.
Which layer to pause on: Divide 0.5 by your layer height and round up. That's how many layers the first color needs, so add a pause right after that layer. At 0.2 mm layers, that's 0.5 ÷ 0.2 = 2.5, so round up to 3 and pause after layer 3.
Adding the pause: In Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer, slice the model, drag the layer slider to the first layer above that number, right-click and choose "Add Pause." In PrusaSlicer or Cura it works much the same way ("Pause Print" / "Pause at height"). When the printer pauses, swap filament, purge until the new color comes out clean, and resume.
Bonus: magnets. The same pause is how you embed magnets. Many HitKit designs use them, so if you print your own HitKits, you'll use this trick there too. Pause at the layer just above the magnet pocket, drop the magnets in, and resume.
